I guess i would be better described as, go...Yes... I guess i would be better described as, go where you are not being blocked, instead of continuing to try and go where the resistance is. Adapt. Don't continue force a movement that is meeting resistance, and like you said use their pushing as momentum.

These are things I fail at doing.Jiujitsunistahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09041502171382772751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7790324623702062987.post-91082117749927472372010-04-11T21:19:00.677-04:002010-04-11T21:19:00.677-04:00There are two thoughts with regard to what you'...There are two thoughts with regard to what you're talking about.

First, if I push you in a direction, it's because I WANT you to go that way, which means I'm setting something up, which means that's potentially bad. So you should generally NOT want to go that way.

On the other hand, my coach likes to advocate giving MORE than your opponent wants. If I push you in a direction, go that way and MORE. Roll over that direction - use the momentum I'm giving (handy if you know what I'm setting up, so you can defend) and take it way past where I want you to go. A lot of times you can either roll me into a sweep, or setup something of your own.

Just a thought.Devhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06331257882063185349noreply@blogger.com
